Offering healthcare to women early in their pregnancies, so they stay healthy and have healthy babies.

The Presumptive Eligibility (PE) program offers prenatal care services to low-income pregnant women who do not receive Medicaid or Hoosier Healthwise. If you are pregnant and need health coverage, you should contact a "Qualified Provider" and ask for help applying for PE and Hoosier Healthwise.

Who Can Participate?

You must be a U.S. citizen and live in Indiana to participate. Certain legal immigrants can participate too. In addition, your family income must be below a certain amount. You cannot be in PE if you already receive, Medicaid, Hoosier Healthwise or Care Select. If you are pregnant and think you need health coverage, you should contact a qualified provider, and ask for help applying for PE and Hoosier Healthwise.

We're committed to serving our members.

If you have already applied for and were determined eligible for PE, you can choose MDwise. If you have already chosen MDwise you will get your health care benefits from our plan. This website will help you find helpful information about MDwise and the covered medical services.
