WHAT:
Expecting moms and their families – even dads, too! – are invited to a free community baby shower and maternity fashion show offered by MDwise and the Minority Health Coalition of Marion County. The event, “Shower Your Baby with Love,” will offer informational sessions on a variety of safety and health topics, including the importance of regular doctor visits, breastfeeding and safety during sleep. Dads will have the opportunity to attend a special workshop about various topics, including becoming a new dad and supporting moms before, during and after pregnancy. And, moms will be able to enjoy a fashion show featuring the latest maternity styles.
No need to bring a gift! Instead, guests will receive a baby gift pack and the chance to win a car seat, crib and other items. Dads will receive a special gift bag, too. Attendees will also be invited to play games and win prizes. Refreshments will be provided.
