Free health screenings and sports physicals offered to Indianapolis youth July 22–26

INDIANAPOLIS – MDwise and the Raphael Health Center hosted a free health fair July 22-26 to help Indianapolis youth prepare for returning to school and beginning fall sports. Children and teens received free health screening, immunizations, sports physicals and more – even free school uniform vouchers!
“It was great to see so many students come and take advantage of the all the health services that we are offering,” said MDwise’s Fernando Luna, who attended the event. “It’s so important for kids to get the right preventive health care to ensure they’re ready for when school starts.”
The event offered a variety health screenings including lead, glucose, obesity, blood pressure, cholesterol and dental. Necessary immunizations and sports physicals were provided along with echocardiograms and smoking cessation information. While supplies lasted, attendees were also able to receive free school uniform vouchers.
MDwise looks forward to having more back-to-school events to help Indiana youth prepare for the new academic year. Check our current list of events to find a health fair or event coming near you.
