INDIANAPOLIS – MDwise partnered with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to conduct MDwise Community Day, a day when employees were encouraged to leave their offices and conduct a community service project.
On September 18, MDwise employees completed two projects to beautify the neighborhoods surrounding its office building. The first project was at Hendricks Park and consisted of trash pick-up, mulching, removing weeds, painting picnic tables and more. The second was on the Morris Street slopes/medians and consisted of removing weeds and invasive plants, mulching and more.
“At MDwise, giving back to the communities in which we and our members live is at the core of our mission. It’s inspiring to see our employees get excited about giving back and bringing our mission to life,” said Charlotte MacBeth, president and chief executive officer of MDwise.
Each year, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful supports an average of 500 community improvement projects with more than 30,000 volunteers, working together to help people and nature thrive. For the past three decades, the organization has partnered with neighborhoods, the public sector, and Indianapolis community groups and businesses, such as MDwise, to achieve its vision for a vibrant, healthy, and beautiful city.
“We’re so thankful for community partners such as MDwise, who place a high importance on making Indianapolis a better place to live, work and play. With their dedication and assistance, we’re able to make an even bigger impact on the local community, strengthening our neighborhoods through projects that help people and nature thrive,” said David Forsell, president of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.
