MDwise and Minority Health Coalition offering free event with education, gifts and more
WHAT: Expecting parents and their families are invited to a free community baby shower and maternity fashion show presented by MDwise and the Minority Health Coalition of Marion County.
The “Shower Your Baby with Love” event will offer:
- Informational sessions on safety and health topics, including safety during sleep
- A special workshop for dads about becoming a new father and supporting moms before, during and after the pregnancy
- A fashion show featuring the latest maternity styles
- Doctors available to answer questions from new or expecting moms
Guests will receive a baby gift pack – with a little something special for dads who attend – as well as refreshments and the chance to win various prizes.
VISUALS: Participants in the maternity fashion show will be available for photos, as well as expecting parents and their families.
SOURCES: Representatives from MDwise and the Minority Health Coalition will be available for media interviews and photos as well.
