MDwise is available by phone to help members and consumers understand the health plans and benefits we offer. MDwise has customer service representatives that can talk to members in other languages. We can get an interpreter on the line for you.
 

Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Care Connect

For Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Care Connect, MDwise customer service is available at 800.356.1204 or 317.630.2831 in the Indianapolis area. Help is available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If you call outside of open hours, you will get an automated message. Leave your name and phone number. A MDwise representative will follow up with you.

Hoosier Healthwise, HIP Maternity and HIP State Plan members: If you call about transportation for an immediate need such as hospital discharge, urgent trip or trip home from the emergency room, you can call and talk to someone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
 

Members can also submit a question to customer service about doctor changes, benefits, copayments and verification of eligibility through your myMDwise account. If you do not have a myMDwise account, you must create an account. A MDwise customer service representative will respond within 24 hours.


MDwise Marketplace

For MDwise Marketplace, you can call 855.417.5615 with questions about our Marketplace health plans, the enrollment process and to enroll. Help is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
 

Members can also submit a question to customer service about doctor changes, benefits, copayments and verification of eligibility through your myMDwise Marketplace account. If you do not have a myMDwise Marketplace account, you must create an account. A MDwise Marketplace customer service representative will respond within 24 hours.


Your Doctor First

Remember to always call your doctor first for all medical care and before going to the emergency room unless it’s a true emergency. Also, you can speak to a live nurse 24 hours a day through NURSEon-call.
