Bright Futures

MDwise is happy to provide Bright Futures, a program from the American Academy of Pediatrics to all MDwise providers via links in the MDwise provider website.

This MDwise initiative provides Bright Futures services without cost to our providers to support primary care practices that provide well-child and adolescent care.

Bright Futures: Guidelines for Health Supervision of Infants, Children, and Adolescents is a set of principles, strategies, and tools that are based in theory, driven by evidence, and oriented to systems of care. Bright Futures can be used to improve the health and well-being of all children through culturally appropriate interventions that address the current and emerging health promotion needs at the family, clinical practice, community, health system, and policy levels.

This objective will ensure that MDwise members and their providers receive information and support that is consistent from family and youth perspectives. This program also supports parents in their role as health promotion experts for their family and allow them to partner effectively with all of their health professionals.

Please take advantage of this unique opportunity. You can also review the Bright Futures website (brightfutures.aap.org) for guidance on how to integrate the guidelines into your practice quality improvement efforts.
