MDwise donates school supplies to help students statewide

The cost of school supplies can cause stress in households across the Hoosier state at back-to-school time. For that reason, MDwise is donating more than 10,000 drawstring backpacks full of school supplies to students at back-to-school events statewide.

Through Tools for Schools, MDwise outreach consultants across Indiana work with local organizations to identify students’ needs, and then MDwise provides and coordinates delivery of needed supplies.
“We recognize that proper school supplies often aren’t easily accessible to all students, but are pertinent to educational success,” said Hollie Arruda, director of marketing at MDwise. “This program helps ensure young Hoosier students have the tools they need to thrive and grow in the classroom, and beyond.”
Children spend more than 1,200 hours each year in school, so MDwise strives to make classroom experiences as meaningful and constructive as possible by ensuring students have the tools they need to learn.
“Playing a part in ensuring students have every chance to be successful in the classroom is rewarding to us. We look forward to expanding the list of organizations we partner with in future years,” added Arruda.
