Hoosier Care Connect:
The contract between MDwise and the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) for MDwise’s participation in the Hoosier Care Connect program is ending on March 31, 2017.
This decision has no impact on our current Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Healthwise members. We will retain our membership in those plans, and look forward to continuing to provide high-quality health care to those individuals.
Pharmacy Benefits: You may have gotten a letter in the mail from MDwise about a change to your health plan. It said you need to find a new pharmacy for your prescriptions by December 15th. It encouraged you to choose Walgreens. You do not have to choose Walgreens. You can find a list of all available pharmacies on our Find A Pharmacy directory. You need to make this change by January 1st. If you need help finding a new pharmacy you can also call customer service at 1-800-356-1204.
Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy (WSP), IU Health and Eskenazi pharmacies are exclusive providers for most retail specialty drugs. Prescriptions for these products will need to be filled through WSP, IU Health or Eskenazi. Click here to see the list of specialty drugs that you must get filled at Walgreens, IU Health or Eskenazi.
Effective January 1, 2017: DentaQuest will be managing the dental benefits for Hoosier Healthwise members. We will have more information on our website soon about what services are covered.
Effective July 1, 2016: Primary medical providers (PMP), specialists, behavioral health providers and hospitals in the Community Health Network will be available for MDwise Hoosier Healthwise members. You can find doctors and hospitals that are included in the MDwise network by searching our Find a Doctor directory.
