The Legal Information Series is offered to give patients answers to their questions regarding legal situations associated with cancer including social security, powers of attorney, end of life decisions and more.

Drop-in Legal Assistance

A diagnosis of cancer can trigger a number of legal issues. The program was designed to provide legal information, resources, and representation to low-income patients who are otherwise unable to afford legal services. 

Legal staff and students will be available to Karmanos patients to answer your questions on legal issues about:

  • Wills
  • Disability
  • Health Insurance
  • Housing
  • Legal Planning
  • Public benefits
  • Powers of attorney
  • Advance directives
