The BAC, composed of current and former Medicaid members and caretakers, will discuss policy and program changes. To apply, complete the BAC application and submit it via email or mail. NURSEon-call

Sometimes you have questions about your health.

At MDwise, you can call our 24-hour phone line and speak with a nurse, not a recorded message.

The nurse can help you:

  • Decide if you or your child needs to see your doctor.
  • Decide if you or your child should go to the emergency room.
  • Answer general questions about your health.
NurseOn-call

Hoosier Healthwise and HIP members call 800-356-1204. Choose option #4 for NURSEon-call.

You can contact a nurse through our website too. If you have a health or medical question, please complete the NURSEon-call online form.

Call Your Doctor First

Always call your doctor first when you need medical care. Your doctor has someone who can help you 24 hours a day. Hoosier Healthwise and HIP members: Your Doctor First (English and Spanish) (PDF)
