ALERT: POSSIBLE SCAM TARGETING MEDICAID MEMBERS.

Some MDwise members have reported receiving a text with this message:

“(Final Alert) Your health insurance policy needs your attention. Response is required call a live representative now at: (888) 423-6433.”

This text message is NOT from MDwise. The telephone number listed in the text message is NOT an MDwise telephone number. This text appears to be part of a scam targeting Medicaid and Medicare members. If you call the number, the person answering will try to get you to pay a fee.

If you have any questions, please contact MDwise at our Customer Service line, 800-356-1204.

Update Your Member Info Today

Because Medicaid coverage protections are no longer included in the federal public health emergency, eligibility reviews began in April 2023. Many Hoosiers could lose their benefits. Taking action now could help you stay covered!

To make sure you have the right health coverage, visit the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) benefits portal and update your member information as soon as possible. It takes less than two minutes! Some members may need to upload verification documents, such as a pay stub. Be sure to respond with any info you’re asked for.

Act now! If you don’t take action, you could become ineligible for Medicaid coverage. Make sure you stay with MDwise so that you don’t lose your in-network doctor and favorite MDwise benefits.
