MDwise Launches WORKwise to Provide Training, Employment Assistance

INDIANAPOLIS (Monday, Feb. 12, 2024) – MDwise has launched WORKwise, an employment assistance and training program to remove barriers and help Hoosiers find family-supporting employment.

Through a partnership with Midwest Urban Strategies (MUS), MDwise will help members who opt into the WORKwise program to increase their employment readiness. Help includes interview-skills building, resume development, career aptitude assessments, employment support services, job training and more.

About MUS
“Access to a quality job is the pathway out of poverty. We are excited to partner with MDwise to extend that beacon of light to those searching and dreaming for a better life,” said MUS Executive Director Tracey Carey

A Milwaukee-based consortium of urban workforce boards from across the Midwest, MUS connects employers, job seekers, training providers and community partners in a collaborative process to better prepare job seekers and support employers in the attraction and retention of talent. This collaboration provides the programmatic engagement that drives WORKwise. Learn more at midwesturbanstrategies.com/.

“Empowering our members to get on a path to self-sufficiency is the goal,” said Jessica Cromer, president and CEO of MDwise. “MUS has an established track record for connecting people to opportunities, and is aligned with MDwise in our focus on providing equitable access for all to these opportunities.”
