MDwise has two new programs to help you. They are called Y You Matter and Re-Entry Programs.

Y You Matter Program:

If you feel sad or alone, MDwise wants you to know that you are not alone. The Y You Matter program is for boys and young men ages 0-24. This program helps you and gives you support. Here are some supportive resources:

  • Big Brothers: serves youth through mentoring relationships.
  • Bloom Project: Group mentoring, college prep, service learning, character building and career exploration for boys ages 12-18 in Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne.
  • Struggle University: focuses on supporting both youth and adults, serving late elementary/early middle through adulthood. Creates spaces to identify past and current trauma, explore individual and collective ways of healing and build collective efficacy through building rapport and connection.
  • MDwise Case Management: Nurses help you with your health care needs.
  • MyStrength: A free digital program for members ages 13 and older to help with stress, depression, sleep and more.
  • 988 Hotline: 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors to help with mental health-related distress.

MDwise Re-Entry Program:

MDwise welcomes you as you start a new chapter in your life. We know coming back can be hard, and we are here to help. The Re-Entry Program helps people who are coming back to the community after being away.

The program offers MDwise and Community Resources:

MDwise Resources

  • Care Management: Nurses help you meet your health care goals.
  • WORKwise: A career center to help you find jobs and get training. We offer job and interview training, resume writing, skills tests, education and more. We also help with transportation, childcare and uniforms.
  • RIDEwise: Free rides to the doctor, dentist or clinic. We may give bus passes or gas money.
  • RECOVERYwise: Financial help to move into a recovery house.

Community Partner Resources

  • Trusted Mentors: Connects you to mentors and opioid use disorder services. Learn more.
  • Groups Recover: Support for people with opioid use disorder.
  • Edna Martin Center: Offers many services like:
    • Housing support.
    • Education: Two-week job training with stipends.
    • Career: Training for jobs like construction, CNA, IT, pharmacy tech; help with resumes and finding jobs.
    • Financial support.
    • Employment assistance.
    • Re-entry support: Help for people coming back to the community.
